Chicken Lickin Chops!

I will tell you right now, that the things I may very well post won't exactly be the healthiest foods. In fact, some of them may very well be downright sinfully delicious. & We are going into winter. The nice & cold months. & I'm having a love affair with my crockpot. My crockpot is my soulmate! My parents gave it to me as a Christmas gift last year. & All I can say is "Oh crockpot! Where have you been all my life!" Ok, to much information I'm sure!

This recipe is a big hit with the kids. They love it! But then again, not like I have picky eaters or anything. If its edible, they chow down on it & then beg for more. Oh well. I'll just keep on living in the deluded fantasy world that I am a good cook.

Okay, so lets get started!

First the stuff that ya just might need for this!

4 boneless pork chops. (I personally prefer the thicker cuts, but that's just me)
1/2 cup of all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of pepper
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder (Season to taste with this one...You can use that amount, more or less, depends all on your garlic tolerance)
1/4 teaspoon of ground mustard
2 cans of condensed chicken & rice soup (Cambells brand works perfectly in my opinion)
2 teaspoons of vegetable oil

Combine flour and seasonings. Cover your pork chops in this mixture. (Dredge, Dip, whatever you wanna call it....) Take your vegetable oil & put it in a skillet. & Then brown your pork chops in said skillet. (Already smelling good at this point!) Pour one can of your condensed chicken & rice soup in the bottom of your crockpot. Add your browned chops. & Then pour your 2nd can of soup over the pork chops. Cover & Cook on low for 4-6 hours. You can serve this with extra rice or home made rolls/biscuits.

Now, wasn't that easy? I just hope ya'll think it is a tasty dinner! I know the monkeys & I love it! Now opinion time. Was that recipe easy enough? Should I take pictures of the steps? Anything I could have done different? Opinions! I love opinions & suggestions! :) Until Next time!

So Hey Howdy Hey!

Ok, So I suppose I'll start with the introductions. First off, I'm the "Impervious Mom" as I have decided. I have 3 monkeys. 1 girl who is my oldest & 2 boys. They are the light of my life & the reason for so much of my insanity! Ha! A lot of what I will be sharing with you is what Autism is like in our life, How cleft lip opens your eyes, & How much you are willing to learn about Barbies after swearing them off for so much of your childhood. I'm a tomboy...I had no use for Barbies...I was the one who pulled the heads off them...uh...maybe we'll talk 'bout that another day.

You can expect to see moments where I'm beaming & perfectly at peace with everything. Or days where I'm on the verge of committing myself to a nice padded room where the nice Dr. gives me nice shots. Hmmm...that sounds good. Oh wait...nevermind. Moving on! I will share recipes that I insist are delicious & majority of people will probably think I'm nuts. (As enough people didn't think that already) I have a photoshop addiction & I love photography. So I'll share stuff with that. That is, if any readers stick around & don't think I'm a total basket case. Ok, well enough for today. I will soon reappear & maybe have something more useful to post :)
